PRODUCTION

EVERYTHING IS MEDIUM SIZED

With the skills that come from producing projects in nearly every medium on the planet and then some, we come to you as some of the most experienced producers of programming around.

We bring a together marketing/business strategy, good writing, unrivaled production, and production management.

Pre-production, production, and post-production. Design. Concept. Shooting. Graphics. Editing. Programming. Distribution.

We've learned to draw out the best a medium has to offer.

HONING TECHNOLOGY, BUT GIVING CLIENTS THE EDGE

When we select a production and distribution medium, we carefully choose the one that best suits the content, audience, budget, and delivery needs.

We'll shape the medium to fit your content. Not the other way around.

We've been known to get a format to do some remarkable things and don't think what a medium can do is limited to what it's done before.

So, we are continually astonished by the jobs we can teach a communications format to perform

A BUFFET

We manage all phases of production, both creative and technical, from:
Concept and treatment
Content organization
Writing
Storyboard/Program design
Video and film production
Photography
Animation
Graphics and illustration
Editing
Music and audio
Online programming
Flash and other Web services
Collateral production
Packaging and duplication
...a slew of other production services that may add value to the production

By managing all phases of the process, we can ensure quality, consistency, and economical use of time and budget.

Though we typically provide all production services for a client project, we are happy to assist when clients are producing on their own, when they need a little advice or only one or a handful of services.

HOISTING PRODUCTION VALUE

Even moderately priced projects can enjoy high production value and a sophisticated look.

We are eager to press our creative and technical experience into service to bring out the best in production value, whether you need something conservative and conventional, or edgy and provocative, for projects in:
Training
Marketing
Public Information
Internal communications
Academia
Fundraising
Areas similar to those we've done before
Areas that pose challenges no one has yet to answer

PROCESS

We've stopped counting the number of steps to develop a program.

It's great to be creative, but it's equally important to be efficient and organized.

We bring a project management process that we have refined over the years. You can count on it being clear and thorough, so your time and dollar can buy as much as it can.

At the core of production management of a communication program is---communication. We keep you apprised and submit materials for review at critical points where you need to give something a quick look-see, say yes or no, or provide input.

We communicate clearly and often and we make sure that there are no surprises.

A well-designed production protocol will help keep production value high...and your anxiety low.

WHERE GRIZZLED COUNTS

if you have something really heavy to move, it might be better to get help from some recent college grads or those under age 28 whose cholesterol is well under 200. For some very strenuous activities, the edge may very well go to someone born after, say, the 1980 presidential election, rather than, well, someone old enough to have volunteered on the John Anderson campaign.

But when it comes to moving around heavy ideas, aiming a creative eye, and knowing how to get the most of out of a technology, you benefit from a team of venerable producers who have developed hundreds of projects, in virtually every format, and have produced for diverse audiences from children to the elderly and everyone in between.

There are few challenges we haven't confronted.

When it comes to the strength of cranial muscles and the insatiable endurance of our creative sprit, we're all warmed up. Be confident, my liege, we've been out exercising every day for the past twenty some years, and frankly, we're in pretty good shape.

THE REAL PRICE OF PRODUCTION

"Most clients are concerned about price. I can only recall a handful of projects when we were told 'money is not object,' but there is chance that these occurrences appeared to me as in a dream and never really happened.

Unlike buying chairs or a case of canned tuna, when you know before you start exactly what you you're getting, a production can take shape in an almost infinite number of ways, each carrying its own price. So looking at two two proposals side-to-side is sometimes like comparing apples and tuna.

The goal is to find the a budget that does the job, but costs no more.

But when it comes to price, the actual costs is more than the invoice. Your long term investment is influenced by the shelf life and by the ease and ability to re-edit or adapt or upgrade.

As advocates for our clients, we've savvy business folk. We like to work collaboratively with clients on budgets and like to look for ways to extend the useful life of a project.

We build in "invisible trap doors" to allow for economical edits in the future.

We explore ways that the program can be used for purposes other than the one originally intended.

By doing this, the project in the years to come may actually cost you less than you thought you were spending."
